I support Jallikattu,so I am happy
Now time not just for celebration but also for some introspection.
Is Jallikattu the only symbol of Tamil heritage?
Can our educated youngsters read, write and speak Tamil properly?
Have they ever read Tamil classical literature?
Can they understand and appreciate the verses of Kamban or Elango?
Have they read Pudumaipithan,Jeyakantan,T.
Do they atleast know by name Jeyamohan,
Nanjil Nadan,Perumal Murugan.
Have they ever read Bharathi and Bharathi dasan?
Do they know about the greatness of Chola ,Chera,Pandiya,Pallavars and their contribution to Tamil literature and temple architecture?
Tamil heritage is one of the oldest and has many greatest aspects .
Culture can't be preserved just by playing one game of bull fight.
Heritage can be protected only by keeping the literature alive,Preserving the great architecture, by saving the rivers from sand mafia etc.
Had this solidarity been shown at the final stages of Srilankan war, Lacs of Tamilian lives could have been saved.
Finally pro or anti Jallikattu have international operators.
Unwittingly we are becoming useful idiots in the hands of international forces who are trying every method to destabilise India.
